Founded in 1963, COMEC S.r.l. specializes in the design and manufacturing of special machine tools. In the last 20 years, COMEC focused especially on developing Grinding Technologies for the Magnetic Materials and for the Friction Materials Industries.

As a result of the excellent technological solutions developed both through internal research and development and working side by side with its customers, COMEC soon became the worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of grinding machines for magnetic materials and became also the top suppliers worldwide of grinding machines for friction materials.

Most of major producers of friction material world wide use now Comec machines. Today COMEC grinding machines are successfully installed worldwide (mostly in Europe, United States, China, Korea, but also Japan, South America, the rest of Asia, Australia and Africa).

On 2003 COMEC S.r.l. became part of an industrial group specialized in the friction material equipment.

COMEC is located about 30 km (20 miles) South East of Milan, in northern Italy, within 45 to 90 minutes drive from the Milan airports.
